Cosimo Savio, guest at the Sino Italian Design Exchange Center, meets the Chinese Foreign Minister
The Sino Italian Design Exchange Center is a creative hub located at Villa Strozzi in Florence which has existed for 7 years with the aim of promoting cultural and professional exchanges between Italy and China and more generally to facilitate the development of Sino-Italian relations for improve their cooperation in commercial and industrial field. If the Chinese outpost has always had great interest in the sectors of fashion and design made in Italy, now it has recently extended its area of interest to crafts, of which Florence is capital by tradition. With this in mind, Saturday 26 January 2019 Cosimo Savio, CEO of Savio Firmino - which represents an internationally recognized excellence in the craft sector - met with other entrepreneurs, the Chinese Ambassador, the Consul and the Mayor of Florence and the Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi, during which it was emphasized how the concrete and effective development of projects and activities between Italian and Chinese companies is fundamental for the decisions and good intentions of the Governments to be fully implemented in reality economic, productive and financial status of the two countries. On this occasion Cosimo Savio also expressed the hope that China can join the International Charter for the improvement of Artistic Crafts, which represents the set of traditions, knowledge and distinctive features of each community and has proudly admitted: "Our latest collection that we will present at the next Salone del Mobile in Milan, was born from the encounter between a Chinese designer and the Florentine craftsman, demonstrating that the collaboration between production and intellect can have mutual benefits between Italy and China that enrich the panorama of the offer for global markets in a dynamic that is not only economic but, in fact, also of cultural exchange ".
